Beginning with the downward-facing dog pose, lift one leg towards the ceiling keeping a natural pelvis, bending the foot of the leg in the air. Maintaining the downward-facing dog pose: push the palms of hands downwards, with a straight back, and the heel of the foot on the ground.
LEVELS OF DIFFICULTY
This can prove difficult where flexibility is lacking.
Option 1: keep the leg on the ground slightly bent and gently raise the upward facing leg. Do not hold as long and then assume the child pose to recover.
